We currently use a Brita pitcher to purify water coming from old pipes but I'm worried by seeing so many bits of carbon floating in the top part of the pitcher. Is this dangerous? Are there any pitchers that minimize this or are they all the same?
Brita states in the instructions, that carbon particles are normal, as long as they stay in the top. The filter is practically all carbon, which helps purify the water. If you want to avoid this, you can get a filter that goes on the faucet.
