I need a water purifier for cheap. I dont want to spend over 20$ where can I buy it? what's a good brand? i was looking at brita ones and people gave it bad reviews saying the lid would come loose too frequently. If I can buy it online (link would be ideal answer)
Thanks in advance!!!
thanks for the advice y'all i got a brita one from target
If you only have $20 to spend a jug like a brita one may be the only answer for you tho I have found a website which has lots of different types of filter and the pros and cons of each one - hopw this helps you to decide which is best for you
BTW I have a tower type filter which sits on my bench - the filter lasts me more than 6 months and I reckon is the best and cheapest option
Perhaps you may be able to pick one up on ebay or similar for the price you want to pay - it would be worth a try
Um, Hi, You see, I had this big seperate filter thingy that you attach to your tap with a rubber tube, but its a pain in the butt to change it, so I want the one you attach to the tap. Which brand is better, PUR or BRITA, If you have used both or one, please give me a review of them, and if you have a brand you think is better tell me and give a review. Thanks! P.S. By review I mean EVERYTHING! Price, efficiency, reliability, etc.
the faucet filters suck. they are better than nothing, but dont take out much and dont last long. home depot sells an R.O. made by general electric for about 200 bucks and that will give you PURE WATER for the rest of your life! i install them for 50 bucks. it has its own faucet and will provide 10 gallons a day for all of your cooking and drinking water. if you care about what isnt going in your body, dont mess with those other filters.
My boyfriend's appartment is the top floor of a duplex of an old house. I figured he had hard water problems when i would take a shower there and my skin would get extremely dried out, to the point of where it felt like sandpaper, and my skin NEVER reacted to anything like that.
So i had him talk to his downstairs neighbor (who is his friend) and she said, that the house had hard water. I already know i'm getting the brita filters for the kitchen... but when i was looking for shower filters i got confused and mixed up in which to get.
I looked online for reviews, etc. and most advice was that most filters that are really expensive work just as good as the moderate priced ones... but they don't say which! @_@
not only that, i'm not sure where to buy them except online or at lowes... ((which i don't want to pay shipping, have the possibility of it not working, having to pay shipping again, and go through a bunch of crap, stores are easier to return/exchange)) and lowes seems to be $10 if not more overpriced.
I don't want to spend over $60 for a filter i'll have to buy replacements for every 6 mths at $45 a replacement. But i'm fairly confident in saying that i think its mineral, especially iron.
Does anyone have recommendations? Please give a little description of experience using the filter and if you remeber, the price and/or where you bought it :)
If you have too much iron in your water, then you will get rust stains on your tub/shower and toilet. If you want to soften your water you need a water softener...I would talk to the landlord and see if he will put one in...they are expensive.
Brita 3 way water filter kitchen tap Review - SharedReviews
I love water as everyone should. As a person who care about the environment and packaging issues around certain disposable items I have always been keen to use tap water and filters for my daily intake. I did use the Brita Jugs for w ahile but always found them hasslesome. They took place on the counter top, never fit in the fridge and the lifetime of the filter was just 30 days or less (the amount I drink) which mean having to change/ buy filters all the time.
Then at a home show, I wandered to the Brita stand where they were selling their then new Brita taps. Enjoy instant Brita filtered water fresh from these top quality Francis Pegler taps! These specially developed water filter taps offer all the benefits you'd expect from Brita filtered water: less limescale, less chlorine and fewer impurities. The unique Brita cartridge fits discreetly under the sink and delivers 500 litres of Brita filtered water. (In my household that lasts 3 months or more). A handy indicator at the base of the tap uses a traffic light system (green/amber/ red) to tell you when the cartridge needs changing. The changeover takes less than a minute as the cartridge just screws on and off so you can easily change the cartridge yourself. The initial installation in the UK was done by a Brita approved plumber which was fine as when the bought the tap, it was just a matter of a phone call to book in a date and everything else was done for me.
...Brita Water Pitcher by Brita Review - SharedReviews
We love our Brita Water Filter Pitcher. It gives us cold sparkling clean tasting water which is always ready to refresh us whenever we need it.
Specifics of our pitcher are:
Model: The design of our pitcher is called Vintage and there are over a dozen pitcher designs to choose from.
Capacity = 10 (8 oz. glasses of water)
Electronic filter change indicator
Flip-top lid for easy refilling
Soft grey grip for comfort with lifting and pouring.
Benefits of using filtered water:
**Much cheaper than purchasing bottled water as you don't have a ton of empty plastic bottles to throw away or recycle. Why buy purified water when you can just as easily do it at home and save money. When calculating what we spent on bottled water versus buying this pitcher and filters for one year our savings were just over $400.00.
