I'm not a psycho, I was just wondering if store-bought water filters can make urine potable? It would come in handy if there's a natural disaster.
Let me try again, will a store-bought filter chemically clean urine and turn it into H2O? I know it's safe to drink but probably super gross.
urine is safe to drink anyway drinking your own urine puts lots of nutrients back into your body they try and encourage you to do this at health spas and de tox centres

Ok, I'm not sure where you live and all, but where I live the water is very hard and full of chemicals. I went out and bought a Brita water filter, both the kind you put on your faucet and the kind that you just fill up (like a pitcher). Let me tell you when I went to replace those filters ... ICK! I was so glad my kids weren't drinking that water. A replacement filter typically comes in a package of three and is about $30 dollars (that's about an estimate because I get mine at BJ's and you can get like six to ten for like $40 dollars, so I save like $10 to $20 bucks). A filter lasts about hmmm ... three months with my yucky water (there is a little thing on the faucet filter that tells you when you need to replace the filter). The pitcher one lasts about 40 fill ups. So in my opinion, YES, it's worth it and much cheaper than buying bottle water (plus you'd be helping the environment because you wouldn't be buying more plastic).
Always do your research and compare. Good luck

Okay, I tried Googling, and I would appreciate not getting silly answers! So I bought a water filter today, as it was time to change filters, but the wrapper had been opened. Umm... should I still use it or go through the hassle of returning it?
I would return it, I was just reading the box of my filter for brita the other day and it said to wash your hands throughly before touching it. You dont know who or what has touched your filter.

Enjoy filtered water directly from your tap
i've got a brita water filter i think buying bottled water is more expensive and it causes more pollution than a brita maxtra cartridge which u get a month a time from in your brita filter jug!!!
I love my Brita. But I think it's more that the water is super cold from the fridge that makes it taste better.
So i just bought my first water filter and it was the brita one, This is not the advance one with the other features like sprinkle, but anyways i installed it, and did that 5 minute conditioning like the booklet said. Although i didn't time it, but the green light is not on. and also when i use the filter for a glass of water there is like little bubbles on top. Is that normal or?
