I got interested in water filtration a number of years ago while working on a marketing project at the University of Wisconsin. I thought there was as compelling case then for water filtration vs. bottled water. Recently I decided to start a blog and thought this might be a good topic since I’d spent so much time researching water filters. While organizing my blog, I realized that the new reality of bottled water was even worse than I had originally thought so I was compelled to share.
Let’s start with the basics:
Water is important to your health (the human body is over 80% water!) and drinking enough water daily is crucial in not only maintaining a healthy body, but healthy hair, skin, nails, liver function and so much more. Many common ailments and illnesses can be prevented and greatly reduced by an increased intake of healthy water. Headaches, hypertension, back pain, arthritis, ulcers, asthma, morning sickness, fatigue and metabolism can all benefit (and in many cases of illness, be prevented) by regulating the body’s natural fluid levels. Healthy water is necessary to sustain life. You can live for weeks without food but only a matter of days without water.
