How is the sun a part of the water, carbon, and nitrogen cycle?
Grows

Please Help?

I Know It's Homework, But It's Not In My Textbook. I Can't Really Think Of It? Please.

1. The sun is part of the water cycle because it warms the water, making the molecules move faster so that hydrogen bonds are broken, changing the state of water from liquid to gas.
2. The sun is part of the carbon cycle because it provides the energy needed by photosynthesizers to fix carbon from the carbon dioxide in the air or dissolved in water.
3. The sun is part of the nitrogen cycle because many of the carbon-fixers (cyanobacteria) are also nitrogen-fixers, changing atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates, which are nutrients necessary for the growth of all the photosynthesizers.

What part do Carbon Dioxide and Water play in the process of photosynthesis?

The formula for Photosynthesis is:

carbon dioxide + water --> glucose and oxygen

in the day:

carbon dioxide --> photosynthesis --> oxygen

carbon dioxide goes into a tree or plant photosynthesises and oxygen is produced.

oxygen --> respiration --> carbon dioxide

oxygen goes into a tree or plant, respires and carbon dioxide is produced.

at night:

oxygen--> respiration --> carbon dioxide

oxygen goes into a tree or plant, respires and carbon dioxide is produced.

Plants photosynthesise during the day and respire all the time.

How do Koala bears take part in the carbon cycle?

I'm doing a project on koala bears, and i need to know how they take part in the carbon, water, and nitrogen cycles...anyone know?

Which part of the water cycle is also part of the carbon cycle?

This goes in biology. When oxygen is present, aerobic respiration occurs, which releases carbon dioxide into the surrounding air or water, following the reaction C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O. Therefore, the water molecules goes evaporates into the air and condenses to form rain.

Which part of a cell uses carbon dioxide and water to make glucose?

Can anyone help me out?

well plants use chloroplasts and use a process called photosynthesis to make glucose. animals like us humans, eat plants and other animals to take the energy for them, through digestion. howerver, a pant uses 90% of its energy as soon as it makes it. so when we eat we only get 10% of the original energy. FYI, thats y we have to eat so much, lol

Scientists solve problem of building carbon nanotubes with right ...

The method has been developed by R. Mohan Sankaran, an assistant professor of chemical engineering at the Case School of Engineering, and Wei Hung Chiang, who received his doctorate degree in chemical engineering in May.

Single walled carbon nanotubes, made of a cheap and abundant material, have so much potential because their function changes when their atomic level structure, referred to as chirality, changes.

But for all their promise, building tubes with the right structure has proven a challenge.

Sankaran and Chiang mixed metals commonly used to grow nanotubes and found that the composition of the catalyst can control the chirality.

“We have established a link between the structure of a catalyst and the chirality of carbon nanotubes,” Sankaran said.

“Change the catalyst structure by varying its composition, and you can begin to control the chirality of the nanotubes and their electrical and optical properties,” he added.

Contraception an Important Part of Climate Control, Sexual Health

According to the United Nations 2006 revision of the world population prospects, the world population is likely to increase from the current 6·7 billion to 9·2 billion in 2050. Most of this increase will be in less developed regions of the world while the population in developed countries is expected to remain nearly unchanged.

Population growth is linked to changes in food and water supply and housing. Rapid increases in population growth is most likely to have negative effects – increasing food and water scarcity, environmental degradation, and human displacement.

There are more than 200 million women throughout the world who want, but lack access to modern contraceptives. This lack of contraceptive availability results in an estimated 76 million unintended pregnancies each year. This increase puts strain on regional environmental resources (water, food, housing) with increased disease if those resources aren’t sufficient.
