I know drinking a lot of water is supposed to prevent zits, but are there any other benefits of drinking water for your skin? Does it even your skin tone, reduce oiliness, or anything like that?
it hydrates your skin, which means ( oils hydrate your skin when its dry so if you drink water it will help that so there will be less oil)
it gets rid of toxins in your body so you will feel more refreshed and clean
Water helps keep our skin healthy and glowing.
It helps in the reduction of wrinkling, and aids in our ability to flush fat, toxins, and any other unwanted or foreign substance from our bodies.
Flushing our intestines with plenty of water allows us to maintain stable and safe quantities of yeast and bacteria.
Plenty of water keeps our thought processes and brain function at optimal levels, and prevents headaches that are caused from not enough hydration.
its the healthiest thing you can drink
Hope this helps
Have a wonderful day!! =]
Don#39;t you know that the correct timing of water can bring effectiveness in our body?
Besides not dehydrating, what other benefits does drinking water give you? how many glasses of water is recommended? how tall should the glass be?
Eight regular glasses (Two coffee mugs standing on top of each other) will help flush your body from toxins. Keeping well hydrated will help you loose weight. You will live longer and your organs will have less strain on them. Your kidneys will be able to work 100% better, and you'll find yourself more energized and able bodied. You'll be able to work longer, think clearer, and pay easily attention. :)
For years I've heard of all the wonderful benefits of drinking plenty of water everyday. I've just started doing this due to a kidney stone - I usually manage the recommended 2 quarts per day.
What I want to know is when will I start seeing these benefits? Weight loss, better skin, better hair, etc.?
And for that matter, what other things can I expect to improve?
I had to start drinking mostly water and lots of it about ten years ago. I don't remember how long it took to see results, but the first change I noticed was the adult acne I had suffered with for years went away and never came back. I also started sleeping better, and I stopped having as many head aches and PMS related issues.
For my children, making them drink plenty of water takes a lot of effort, especially in the summer when they're busy playing outside. Several years ago, my son was constantly getting severely painful tummy aches. One night we had to rush him to the E.R because he was writhing in pain. The Doctor examined him thoroughly and then asked him if he was thirsty. My son said yes he was, but hadn't really noticed it until he was asked. The doctor hooked up an I.V. of fluid, and within fifteen minutes the tummy ache was gone. The Doc said that he had several children come into the E.R. every day during the summers for dehydration related stomach aches (there was a kid in the next room who was there for the same thing).
My husband and I were really upset, because we never let our children drink anything but water and we felt like we were always pushing it on them. The Doc recommended that we get our son his own water bottle and have him carry it outside with him whenever he plays. After that, he hasn't had a single stomach ache.
Here's a website that mentions other benefits of drinking plenty of water. http://www.watercure.com/wow/wonders_of_ water.html
How does drinking a lot of water help weight loss ?
Are there any other health benefits?
Our bodies are made of mostly water. Approximately 85% of your brain, 80% of your blood and 70% of your muscle is water. Every cell in your body needs water to live. You can see how important water is to you. Water helps remove the dangerous toxins that your body takes in from the air you breathe, the food you eat and the chemicals used in the various products you use on your skin and hair. Other things water does for your body is to cushion your joints. Water carries oxygen and nutrients into all your cells. Water also helps regulate your body temperature. You need water to keep your metabolism working properly. In order for this to happen, there is a certain level of water in each of our bodies that we need to maintain. If we do not keep that amount, our bodies will start to dehydrate. Therefore, it is easy to see why it is very important to drink six to eight glasses of water a day. Some of the things that may happen to your body if you do not have enough water are that your blood pressure can fall to low levels. Blood clots may form. Your normal kidney function is impaired. You may get constipation. Some of the signals your body gives you of a low water level are constipation, dry skin, and increased incidence of urinary tract infections and recurring headaches.
I know that if you drink cold water is helps burn calories, and that drinking water can rinse toxins out of your system and that it helps clear up you face if you have acne. are thees true? and what are some other benefits of drinking water?
You wont have any kidney problems, which means healthier blood which means healthier heart which means living 5-30 years longer? A lot of people die from heart problems.
Also you wont have yellow pee and your sweat wont smell as bad!

Will Blog for Food: Much Drinking Water Contains Cancer Causing ...
Results from a federal drinking water monitoring program show that many public water companies are ineffective at removing a widely used weed-killer from their water supplies.
As the Huffington Post Investigative Fund reported earlier this week, the Environmental Protection Agency has failed to notify the public about data showing that the herbicide atrazine has been found at levels above the federal safety limit in drinking water in at least four states. Atrazine has been studied for its potential link to breast cancer, prostate cancer, and birth defects, and the EPA considers it to be a potential endocrine disruptor. It is banned in the European Union.
But the EPA’s data also reveals that many public water filtration systems are not removing the herbicide. In many places, atrazine levels in untreated water sources such as rivers directly match the levels that come out of the tap.
A carbon filter with granular activated carbon — in other words, a giant Brita-like filter — should absorb all or most of the atrazine. But the EPA’s atrazine monitoring data shows that many water utilities in the Corn Belt do not use carbon filtration. Many use rapid sand filters instead. They are cheaper and last longer, but are unable to remove organic compounds such as PCBs, phthalates, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides such as atrazine.
