It has a spout on the bottom and is labelled "drinking water".

You can NOT PUT any REALLY HOT drinks into PLASTIC CONTAINER .

The pressure will be pop up your container and also plastic is not safe with really HOT foods or drinks.

I suggested you should wait until - not to hot ( warm ) - to put in .

I'm looking to buy a water cooler for my new home. I want clean drinking water without bottles. Suggestions?

I want this cooler to be economical, and, if possible, discreet and/or attractive looking.

Great product: it filters your regular tap water, pureez is purer than bottled, and pureez heats it up to whatever temp you want. Pureez water has great presets, and it looks awesome! I have one, love it, and it saves a lot of $$ vs. office coolers or buying bottled. plus you don’t waste plastic :^) http://www.pureez.com

Is drinking water from a water softener at your home healthy?
Drinking Fountain, Melbourne Museum

We have just purchased a home with a salt water softener. The water is all foamy and cloudy when it comes out of the faucet and there is no bypass - ALL the water in the house runs through it. There are 4 of us and 3 pets. Is it healthy/safe to drink softened water or should we get a water cooler for drinking and cooking?

If it has a water purifier than it's fine, however the softener has just that in it, softener. I recommend the PUR system that hooks onto your faucet. They even have the one that has flavored cartridges so you can drink both plain and flavored. It's available at Target for about $50. It's alot cheaper than buying bottled water which runs around $5 for every 24 bottles you buy. Hope this helps!;)

P.S. Water has flouride but you can get flouride in ACT mouthwash now. It's more important for you to drink water that's purified than to worry about flouride. I've been in dental for almost 20 yrs and the ACT is wonderful and you only use it once a day, preferrably before bed.

Water coolers have become very popular these days, and you can find them in homes, offices, airports, malls, and many other places. They are also commonly called dispensers.

Wall mounted water cooler:

The wall mounted water cooler is the most common water cooler. Here, the cooler is connected to the water supply and electricity is used to run the refrigeration to cool the incoming water. The unused water can be disposed of in the building waste system. This kind of cooler usually has a container in the machine which holds the chilled water so that when you want some water, you just have to press the button which is on a spring loaded valve, and when it is released the water gets turned off. You do not have to wait for the water to come as it is already stored.

Enough with drinking water - Health - Macleans.ca

When it comes to water, there’s nothing clear about how much we need to drink or even what good it does us. Still guzzling eight 8-oz. glasses a day? There’s no scientific proof everyone requires so much. Urine should be colourless? That’s a sign you’ve chugged too much. Thirst means you’re already dehydrated? Not even close.

“I want to squash that notion. It’s baloney,” says Heinz Valtin, professor emeritus of physiology at the Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, N.H., in a recent podcast produced by the American Physiological Society. He should know. His seminal 2002 study, “ ‘Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.’ Really? Is there scientific evidence for the ‘8 x 8’?” is often cited by other researchers investigating how much water we should consume daily. Now, many physiologists are debunking the most common assumptions about water intake. Valtin’s conclusion: healthy people who live sedentary lifestyles in temperate climates don’t
