why is that. it looks like a white dust in the water. If you let it set for a few minutes it will almost completely dissolve. I'd like to know what that is, and if its bad to drink.
the water filter is supposed to be really sophisticated, and be of better quality than arrowhead bottled water.
If the filter is new, it's probably washing off some of the filter media that is hanging which will eventually disappear after several use.
However, if the filter has been used long enough that it needs replacement, your water may be recontaminated by the chemicals it's suppose to remove. It's called "breakthrough."
If the filter pore is too clogged, filtered water may not be able to pass through but instead wash off those contaminants into your supposedly filtered water.
So, it's better to change your filter as recommended.

Put in a reverse osmosis filter. It will produce the cleanest water possible, short of distillation. I installed the filter in my laundry room and the water line runs through the floor into the kitchen cupboards and supplies water to a small tap on the side of the sink. I have one of those water jugs that has a filter. Somebody told me that it takes the flourine out of the water so he won't let his kids drink filtered water. He is trying to to avoid problems with the dentist.
