Hello, I was wondering what the effects were of adding sea salt to purified drinking water? Is it true that it can kill you on consumption?

Salt, like everything else, is toxic at the right dosage. However, adding sea salt to purified drinking water won't kill you unless you make it really salty and drink a lot of it.

So feel free to drink salt water :)

I have used Ozarka Spring water, but never "Purified" water. It says it's microfiltered, is that good enough? I do not have any dechlorinator. Thanks
I have already poured out most of his water, so I'd prefer not to wait 24 hrs for the tap water to dechlorinate.

As long as it has no chlorine you can use it. Purified usually means they take things like chlorine out of the water

Does drinking purified water instead of tap water really make a difference in your health or it doesnt really matter?

it depends on the quality of tap water. most tap water goes through purification plants already so there isnt a big difference

we live in a small town with a HORRIBLE water system. some areas of town, the water is better than others, like my house isn't too bad, but the office is horrible. my new tank is going in the office, and i don't want to fill jugs of water and haul them, it would just be easier to get bottles from the store, so, my question is, should i use reverse osmosis water, drinking water, or purified water????? or should i just give them Culligan??? lol

our tap water is so bad that it's almost brown. trust me, i need to use bottled water.

i do use aquasafe and also, Tetra Easy Balance.
we also, get salt creep from using out normal tap water - on freshwater tanks.

you have no idea how horrible our tap water is.

Your best bet is to use R/O. R/O strips your water of almost everything that is in it. Because R/O strips your water of almost everything, including essential minerals and nutrients (trace elements), you must replace them. You can pick up trace elements at your local pet store.
