Frequent cartridge replacement on Moen faucet?

Since the installation of my bathtub faucet, I have needed to replace the cartridge every year. I thought those things were guaranteed for life? It's not a difficult thing, but it is a pain in the butt and they cost $20. Does anybody else have this difficulty?
The cartridge is what some faucets have in place of washers.
No hard water.

Um, it's dripping, why else would I replace the cartridge?


sounds like you have debris in your pipes. are your pipes galvanized. if they are not I wouls tuen off the water at the house main. then goto the meter and see if the meter is running. that will tell you if your main is broken. also Moen sucks. We stopped selling moen because of theyre warrant and it not lasting

I replaced a replacement cartridge in my price pfister faucet know there no water comes.?

I just replaced my replacement cartridge on my price pfister 526-50xx faucet. When I turn on the water supply no water comes out of the faucet. The instructions very easy to handle so I'm a little confused.


Check the instructions again carefully.
It's possible that you placed the cartridge in reverse, in which case, turn it 1/2 turn and reinsert it.

how to pull out "Stop Tube" of shower faucet ( Moen 1225 cartridge)?

My bathroom faucet ( shower) is leaking. I opened the cover plate but I can not pull out the central cartridge no matter how hard I tried because I think it is locked by cartridge retaining clip (U) which is attached to inside "Stop Tube". This "Stop Tube" is fixed and I have to no way to remove it. (last time a plumer used Moen-Magnum replacement cartridge 1225)
I’m wondering if anyone knows how to pull out the cartridge in this situation. Please help and really appreciated.

we replaced the cartridge but some how the tub "diverter" with the pull out/push in slide got lost.

    Tools: Culligan FM-15RA Faucet Filter Replacement Cartridge

    We used to have the 'Pur' faucet filter which was VERY dissappointing. The water flow became ridiculously weak quickly, and either filters had to be replaced every other week or cups had to be filled overnight. We took a chance with the less known Culligan and never regret it. Excellent water flow, excellent taste, each filter lasts about a month. Filters are relatively cheap, arrive quickly with Amazon Prime, and are easy to replace. The faucet unit takes SO much less space than the Pur one. We fill our water bottles and save tons of $$$. Go for it! Well, now that I've had this for a year, I just wanted to update my review. I still haven't had ANY leaks and I still love this filter. I will never buy another Pur or Brita filter again, OR spend $20-$22 on a refill cartridge. At $11.99 each the refills for this unit have saved me a lot of money already, and I actually like this unit 10x better....
