If you replaced the cartridge... my only guess is that it’s dripping from the residual left in the head and pipe …..not from the supply itself

I am replacing the cartridge on a single shower faucet, but the old cartridge broke inside the pipe, now I can't remove it to install the new one?
There are a couple things you could try...
A) see if you can get the rest of the cartridge out with a needle-nosed pliers. If you can't,
B) have an assistant turn the water on very briefly. The water pressure should eject the broken cartridge. (Just make sure your not near the faucet when the water gets turned on as the part will be ejected at high speed.)

the cold water is fine, and I know there is pressure from the hot water, it just wont come through the faucet, even after I replaced the cartridge...
I know the pressure is fine cuz I took the cartridge out and turned on the water, it came shooting out, so I know the line isnt plugged, is this a common problem with Moen?

Turn the water off and remove the supply line from the shut off valve. Remove the cartridge and try to insert something like a coat hanger thru the line to remove the debris. it's probably a piece of the rubber washer from your shut off valve.

I have a Moen single-handle Posi-Temp shower faucet. After replacing my water heater and turning the water back on, there was significant water hammer when I turned on the shower faucet. After that, the water is no longer off when the handle is at six o'clock; instead it shuts off at three o'clock. Turning it all the way counter-clockwise is no longer warm enough. Could the water hammer have turned the 1222 cardridge inside the valve? If so, do I just need to remove the cartridge, realign and reinstall it in the valve so that six o'clock is the shutoff position again? Or does the cartridge need to be replaced? Note that it is not leaking -- just misaligned.
No water hammer would not rotate the cartridge. But is it possible the attaching screw has become loose betweent he henadle and the cartridge?
Also the hammer may have loosened up some crud in the valve body/cartridge. I'd pull it (carefully) clean and reinstall.

Water trickles from tub shower faucet. Is cartride gone bad? I have 1700 series delta faucet. If the problem is with cartridge, where do I find information how to do it. Delta website gives very little info. Please help
Delta has a replacement policy with Home Depot or Loews. Call them. It is just a matter of you taking the cartridge with you and they will give you a new one. Free.
It is as simple as that.

Keep the correct tools with you. Basically you require two pipe wrenches one for holding and another for turning. For square or hex nuts open end wrenches are ideal as they have smooth jaws. If the pipe is of small diameter then you need to have vise grip wrench.
