Or will I just be drinking glorified tab water?


look into a in line carbon filter cartridge that goes under the sink-it will filter chlorine and most impurities out of water-none of those quick fixes will filter the lime(scale) out of water

How do you clean the filter inside the kitchen faucet sink?

We have very low water pressure in our kitchen sink, which happened right after we put in a new water heater. I was told that there might be calcium deposits on the filter, and I tried to get it off, but I couldn't get it. Is there a trick? Note: there is no other problems with any of the other faucets/toilets in the rest of the house. Thanks


It unscrews, there is a screen or an airator that catches the tiny rocks and minerals. use a finger nail brush. I hated mine I threw it away. If there is hard water deposits or calcium (white ) soak it in vinegar over night. Use a pipe wrench or open your pkiers up all the way and put a towel around the spigot to keep from scratching it

How to install a Pur Filter (faucet type) on a Corrego Traditional Series Kitchen Faucet?

What adapter / where to buy it, do I need to install a Pur Filter on this faucet that does not take the usual adapters... Thanks for your help in advance.


The filter should have all the adaptors needed.
Remove the 3/8" line that goes to the faucet and hook it up to the filter.
Install a new 3/8" flexible line to the faucet.
Screw the filter down to a convenient place.

Is it safe to drink water from a kitchen faucet without a filter?



Usually. Definitely if you get water from a water company.
Though not in Las Vegas, so it depends where you live.

I live on Long Island. Our tap water is bottled, unfiltered, and sold nationwide as spring water. Though we do have very good water.
