I live in Vancouver, BC and would love to have the "pur" water filter that has the available flavored filters that is advertised on the US stations. I know that it is a product of Procter & Gamble but I am unable to find it here. I anyone knows where I can get one and at what price, I would love the information.
Thanking you all in advance.
Shirley
i agree, look online. but i have a web site where u will prob find it cheapest. www.walmart.com
Not all water filters are created equal. See for yourself why only PUR is certified to remove 99.95% of microbial cysts, like giardia and ...
To get it on a credit card I first need to find a site that offers it on line.
This is their site and this page tells you where to get it.
Good luck;-)

I read a review on the website about the PUR Flavor Options Water Filter System being too heavy for faucets and it causes the faucets to leak. I was wanting to purchase one, but I am not sure now. If anyone has that particular filter system, would you PLEASE let me know. I would really APPRECIATE it.
Wait for the next model to come out. I am sure it will be much better:}
I don't believe it is to heavy, but it is that constant pushing on it that is not good. Go into your kitchen and lightly push on your faucet, you will get the picture.

i recently bought a Pur water filter system...i followed all the intructions on how to put it in the faucet..hopefully i did it right. now my main concern is that i am pregnant. is it ok drinking it? sorry i am just really paranoid with my unborn baby and just wants whats best..what do you think????
is it safe?
oh yeah i think i am paranoid because of the whole replacing your filter....and running the water for 5 minutes after each new filter..and running it 5 seconds everytime i wanna drink out of it...idk...what if i am in a hurry and i just get a quick glass of water....
Pur will only make it safer to drink. The only thing that is really added with water filters is carbon, which is completely safe to consume.
The waiting minutes is for the carbon to settle correctly and for the water to soak in. Sometimes when you first replace the filter and drink it right away, the only difference will be that you're taking in extra carbon. This isn't necessarily bad for you, but its put on there so people won't freak out if they try to drink water right away and see a couple black specks in their water.
If you're really paranoid about drinking water though with a baby on the way, it might be better to only drink cold tap. Cold tap will have less iron in it than warm/hot tap water. (reccomend using it for cooking as well)
Does anyone who owns a PUR filter system run into this problem before? And how did you get the light to go back on?
I had a pur water filter and found when the replacement cartridge needed replaced that a new filter was almost as much as the whole unit itself..and each filter only treats 200 gallons of water..so I changed brands and ordered one from the link below..You get two replacement cartridges for 13.00 that treat 2,000 gallons apiece versus 200 gallons like pur does..and one replacement cartridge for a pur is 22.00....You can treat 3,800 more gallons of water for 9.00 less with this unit..I have had it over a year and very pleased with it

Getting A PUR Water Filter Replacement
One must get a PUR water filter replacement according to the type of water filtration system that he has in the home. There are pitcher versions, faucet mounted versions and refrigerator versions of these filters that all last for different lengths of time and cost different amounts of money to replace. The PUR water filter replacement that is the most expensive to replace is the PUR refrigerator water filter, costing about thirty-five dollars to replace. However, it also lasts the longest out of all the types of PUR water filter replacements , lasting up to six months before needing to be replaced. The cost per month then is only about six dollars, which is very affordable in the long run and much less expensive than buying bottled water.
Benefits of PUR Water Filter Replacement
Tap water often has pollutants in it that can be harmful to a person’s body over a long period of time. The PUR water filter replacements will help the person to maintain fairly pure water so that the pollutants are less damaging to his body. There is often high chlorine content in tap water, which can easily be determined by the taste of the water. There are also often heavy metals in the water which can be significantly harmful to a person’s body. The internal systems of the body can be at risk by the intake of tap water containing metals like copper, cadmium and lead. The pitcher PUR water filter replacements use two stages of filtration to release the heavy metals from the water.
...Choosing A Pur Water Filter System
A Pur water filter provides you with delicious drinking water around the clock, which is especially important in the world of today where the water has become dangerously polluted and even toxic in some areas.
