Doesn't it seem weird that 'pure' bottled water has a ingredients list with 5 things in it?
Te Waihou River

You buy bottled water and it sais it is 'pure', but than it has a ingredients list with 5 things in it. Why can't it just be water? Ohh, and what does ozone do to the water? Isent that supposed to be in the atmosphere?
I know that there is supposed to be chemicals in the water, but I would think they would only need one to treat it, and they advertise it as 'pure'.
No wonder the ozone layer is depleting, the bottled water makers are stealing it, I knew this industry would be bad, lol.

Depends on what the ingredients are. If it's bottled, it has to go through some kind of production line process.'

What are the white particles in bottled water? (Nestle Pure Life)?
Ready for Purchase

Well....

I bought 24 pack of bottled water (Nestle Pure Life) this afternoon andI just realized that there are so many white particles collected in the bottom of the bottle.

I also see some frozen bottles (due to the cold weather)...

Some people say those white particles are minerals/carbonate so they are safe to drink,
but some say it may not be a good idea if it is frozen once.

I tried to find any news or articles related to this matter but then there are too many different opinions. Im confused.

I bought three of this 24 pack... and they are all like this.
What should i do? just throw it away? or drink it :(

There should not be any white particles collected in the bottom of the bottles. Please call the toll free number that roscoedea... included in his answer to this question. If they are no help, just return the unopened bottles to where you purchased them for a refund. Just don't drink the water - better to be safe than sorry!

Is boiling water as pure as bottled water?

Is boiling water as effective as drinking bottled water?

Best answer gets 10 points!

Bottled water isn't very pure, it is usually tap water that was just put into a bottle and the company hired a sappy writer to make it sound as though you are drinking from a glacier that will change your life (bastards!). In all seriousness though, boiling water is safe, and just as pure as anything else as long as there are no chemicals. Boiling will kill organisms in the water. Tap water is just as clean as bottled, and has many nutrients that are good for you.

Bottled water needs better regulation.

Bottled What?

On the national level, the FDA is solely responsible for bottled water purity and safety, but the FDA's rules exempt waters that are packaged and sold within the same state, which account for between 60 and 70 percent of all bottled water sold in the U.S.

The FDA permits bottlers to label their product "spring water" even though it may be brought to the surface using a pumped well and may have been treated with chemicals. Contrary to tap water rules, the FDA does not require bottled water to be disinfected or tested for parasites such as cryptosporidium or giardia. The bottled water industry is not required to disclose any of its contaminant testing results, increasing the possibility of health risks to infants, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. In a four-year study, the National Resource Defense Council tested the purity and safety of 1,000 bottles of 103 brands of bottled...

Does Bottled Water Automatically Mean “Better”? « In Good Health

Bottled water has been the hype product of the last decade, encouraged by marketing blitzes and health-conscious consumers. But is bottled water really pure? The evidence points to no.

Many bottled waters are actually the same as tap water. However, municipal water requires more stringent testing than bottled water producers for contaminates, so it seems that tap water may actually be more pure than some bottled waters! It is difficult to know what water source is good for you, as there are chemicals found in both tap and bottled water that no life form should be drinking.

A study performed that tested 10 brands of bottled water found an average of eight chemicals in each: Disinfection byproducts (DBP), caffeine, Tylenol, nitrate, industrial chemicals, arsenic, and bacteria were all detected. Fluoride which is a toxic chemical affecting the bones, and antimony, another toxic chemical, are also found in tap and bottled waters.

Chlorine has been used in municipal water to eliminate harmful microorganisms that cause problems like typhoid, cholera and diphtheria. Chlorine ingestion is now being linked to multiple forms of cancer. The research is still being done, but it appears that chlorine has many unintended health consequences for consumers.
