I have a spring on a piece of land in North Georgia that I currently had the water tested. The water is pure w/ no detectable contaminants. I've searched online and cannot for the life of me find where or who to contact in regards to selling the water. I'm just looking for a company that would be interested in purchasing it from me, and then do the bottling on their own.
Anyone done this before or know of a contact for me to get in touch with?
You might try the established water bottlers such as Aqua Fina and such. With all the news about water companies just using regular municipality water in their bottles, seems to me one of them would jump at the chance to offer some pure natural spring water with no detectable comtaminants. Maybe they could create an upper-class spin off product using your water and they already have the established contacts and experience they need to get the job done. Look at product bottles for some contact information, and reach out to them that way or gather their names and perhaps with some internet digging you can find who in their companies to contact. I looked at my bottled water today and on it was a nutritions facts chart on it. And for everything ti had a 0. Why do these people even bother putting on the 0s! I mean everyone knows that water is pure and has nothing in it! The water was pure spring water. It's not on of those vitamin water things and those fruit2os. It has nothing added. It's just plain water.
perhaps the food and drug administration requires all food and beverages to have nutrition fact labels. sometimes there are strange/silly laws/rules.
water is not pure. water has various metals/elements in it ie - calcium, sulfur, etc. some cities add fluroide to their water. granted that is usually more the case with tap water. when looking on the interent for information for you, i found an interesting msnbc article that bottled water can be filtered municipal water/ tap water (1). even "natural" water is not pure of other minerals and elements it just has not been treated (1). even in mineral water the minerals are not added they are naturally in the water (1). the minerals found naturally in all water except distilled water are said to be good for you, so your body actually does not want pure water (1, 2).
you are probably drinking from a plastic bottle which allows chemicals from the plastic to get into the water (that is why it is recommended to use glass cups. when i looked for a source to support what i was saying, the one i found said polyethylene bottles are ok but not plastic pvc containers. Pure water consists of only H2O molecules. Spring water is just fresh water pulled from natural springs underground, and so contains a good deal of other minerals. Distilled water is close to pure water, because it is formed by distillation which leaves behind most impurities (but not all). Most of the time you hear these words (especially pure water) they probably mean slightly different than this, and are just corporate "buzz words".
