Specifically membranes that are used for water treatment.
Sorry, soapy water won't cut it; and in fact will probably make things worse. Soap won't get rid of hard water scaling - it'll just scum it up. Soap won't get rid of any mold or fungi - it'll actually feed them. Use a commercially available RO membrane cleaning solution. They have to meet government requirements.

OUR GROUND WATER IS 1500 PPM AND 2500 TDS AND AFTER DOING NECESSARY SOFTENING IT IS FED TO RO.
BUT OTHE RO MEMBRANE GOES OFF EVERY 6 MONTHS.
WHAT TO DO?
I have a 1 micron sediment filter before water enters the water softener, and use Rust Remover type salt in the brine tank. I've read that iron will clog the RO membrane quickly and it will need to be replaced. An alternative to get rid of any built up iron inside the softener is to pour a cup of vinegar into the solution, but not on top of the salt and force it to regenerate.
My RO system has been working flawlessly for over two years with the original RO membrane.

NSF Certified
Kit contains 1 year's worth of replacement filters
Compatible with all standard RO and filtration systems
The manuafacturer of your RO system should be able to provide this. Go look on the equipment nameplate, find out who made it and then who sells it. They should provide free support for the equipment and the system.
Each manufacturer's equipment will be different. There will not be a one size fits all chart.

Companies Establish Water Treatment Joint Venture in China
Toray Industries, Inc. and China National BlueStar (Group) Co., Ltd. announced that the companies on July 17 established a water treatment joint venture Toray BlueStar Membrane Co., Ltd. in Beijing. The new company has a capital of 35 million U.S. dollars (approximately 3.5 billion yen) and 180 workers and engages in production, sales and import and export of water treatment membrane products.
TBMC held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for construction of its production facilities in Beijin Tianzhu Airport Economic Development Zone in Beijing with Toray President & CEO Sadayuki Sakakibara and China BlueStar Chairman: Ren Jianxin in attendance. Some 60 dignitaries including honorable guests Mr. Wang Jinjun, Bureau Chief of Beijing Ecomomic Information Commitee and Mr. Lin Xiangyang, Vice Governor of Shunyi District, Beijing, from the Chinese side and Mr. Tomofumi Hiraku, Director-General, Manufacturing Industries Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Mr. Atsuhiko Hatano, Minister, Japanese Embassy in China, and about 50 others had attended the ceremony. TBMC is planning to invest approximately 500 million yuan (approximately 7.5 billion yen) in construction of facilities for production of reverse osmosis membrane and assembly of membrane elements. Operations of the facilities are expected to commence in April 2010 in a phased manner.
...REVERSE OSMOSIS MAINTENANCE
Reverse osmosis membranes allows water to pass through pores, preventing dissolved solids and suspended materials from passing through. Feed water flows over the membrane surface, keeping apart the treated water from the waste water, producing up to 99 percent rejection. The production of up to 99 percent rejection is that some salts and organics may pass through the membranes, thereby 100 percent is not accomplished. Generally, there is no more than 2 percent of salts and organics that passes through the membrane. Softening the water reduces mineral fouling of the reverse osmosis membrane surface, thus, forming soluble salts which does not generally cause scaling. It is recommended that a softener be used on high hardness water to prevent mineral scaling of the reverse osmosis membrane. A concern in softening the water, with the use of reverse osmosis, is that brine rejection of the softener adds to total waste water. There are various agents for cleaning and maintaining reverse osmosis...
