It is important that you get a good quality replacement filter for your water filtration system. Some of the cheap ones filter out small particles which basically takes the dirt out of your water. This is important, but it is not enough. These filters do nothing about the microscopic toxins that are still in the water and are able to pass through the cheap filter. You may not notice this because the filter captures much of the particles that makes you water taste bad, so the filtered water will taste good, but that does not mean that it is good for you.
Reverse Osmosis is not as Good as a Cartridge Reverse osmosis is an even worse technique because it eliminates the particles but it cannot do anything about toxins that are smaller than water molecules which are pretty big, relatively speaking. So, all the toxins get through the reverse osmosis system. Even worse, the good minerals that you do want in your water like calcium and potassium do get blocked. So the reverse osmosis gives you the worst of both worlds. That is why you are better off with a high quality cartridge water filter.
