2 floor home with hot water heating system. I have bled the radiator for abot 2 gallons of water and i start to feel the inlet pipe getting warm but it never gets hot
you have an air lock. call a plumber, just an air bubble in the system and will be easy to release with the right tools.

Has anyone used a home inline water filter system they would recommend
The city water system is really bad.Well know for build up and corrosion.The dogs water bowl builds up with a clear hard like crust on the bottom.You have to scrub it out.The coffee pot needs complete cleaning every month.No smell to water.If this is any clues to a good filter system.

Last year, I got an Aqua-Safe reverse osmosis system with 6-stage filtration (the RO membrane, one particulate filter, three carbon filters, and one ion exchange filter). It generates 100 gallons per day and comes with a 5 gallon storage tank. It cost about $200 and it came with a 5-year supply of replacement filters, including replacement ion resin beads. It takes my water from about 3000 PPM to under 5 (it even came with a digital PPM meter).
The water that comes out of it is as good as any I have ever tasted. We also have a line running from it to our refrigerator. So, the ice is very clear and the cold water coming from the dispenser is awesome.
I highly recommend a reverse osmosis system, if you have the room and can afford it.

When washing hands you lose some pressure then it picks up pressure .

My home heating system is not operating quite as it should. Not bad, not good. I have one radiator that heats on it's lower half and not the upper half. Another does not heat at all. The first/ground floor radiators in my house seem to work just fine and the two problem radiators are both on the second/upper floor. What's going on here?
When I bleed water from a radiator does the heating system automatically compensate for this by taking in new water?
If the water bleed produces discoloured water does this indicate a problem?

first of all, is this a steam system? if it is you don't need to bleed it. there probably is a clog. if it is not steam then does the heat make any noise like a gurgling? that is a sign of air. most furnaces will replenish water but to do this faster there is a valve on the water pipe going into the furnace (it will be the cold pipe). the water that comes out will probably be brown. this is rust. you can flush the system until the water comes more clear. this may take several buckets.
