I bought a paragon 10,000 gallon water filter from Sears for $60.00 and the part that screws into the faucet sprays water. The unit came with 3 different rubber washers, and I tried each of them, and it still sprays water. This particular water filter screws into the faucet, and the water base sits on the countertop, and is good for a whopping 10,000 gallons which is cool, but I can't seem to stop the darn water from spraying out where it screws the water diverter into the faucet! I am hoping that someone out there who has had a similar problem knows how to fix it, or is a plumber or understands how to correct this problem. Thanks and I look forward to reading your answers. Thanks!
i would use Teflon tape , rap it twice , o n the thread,
then apply the washer , make sure you screw it slowly ,and straight
Paragon 3200 Water Filtration System unboxing and installation
My hair is really weird, its curly and wavy and frizzy, all at the same time! Whenever I look at a separate strand of hair it has kinks in it and its thicker in some places that others. It wasn't always like this, it used to be nice and straight and soft. It started being this way in about 7th grade. Ive tried all sorts of shampoos and products but nothing works. Alot of people say they have hair like mine but they actually don't.
Ive been looking into getting a shower filter. Do you think that will help my hair? Does anyone have a similar experience? Is a Paragon Water Systems a good filter?
I already straiten my hair but i would like to stop.
yes it will
in Mexico the water is "soft"
which is why my relatives there
have gorgeous hair
the water here is "hard"
but, DON'T BUY ANY HAIR PRODUCTS FROM A DRUGSTORE!
they're cheap for a reason
they dont really work
they just murder ur hair
so, try a vegan shampoo/conditioner
i <3 this brand, it restored my damaged hair
much cheaper/better than salon brands =]

Use hot oil treatments
warm the oil
distribute through hair evenly
put on a shower cap
leave in for an hour
wash hair as usual
do this twice a week or so
can be done with
100% jojoba oil, Rose hip seed oil or White Camellia oil
(rose hip seed and white camellia help with damaged hair)
but also use jojoba oil
rinse with cold water
drink plenty of milk =]
use Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer spray
when straightening
go natural this summer
use the jojoba oil as a frizz serum
My mother (and I) keep ryukin goldfish in a 20 gallon unheated tank (70 degrees) with a built-in canister filter and a power filter. She feeds them goldfish food and recently some lettuce.
Before this started, there were 3 fish. My mom bought 2 new fish from a reputable fish store, and a water test said her water was great.
About a week later, one fish's scales (she thinks a new one) were sticking out, and my mother identified this as dropsy. She began treating the tank with some very old Paragon 5. By the second day of treatment, all of the fish showed the scale-symptoms. Before the second dose (directions of Paragon 5 are for medicine addition every other day), she performed a partial water change. Around this time I noticed white spots on the fish's fins. On the 4th day of treatment one fish (she thinks the original sick one) died.
All but a particularly sick fish have been eating fine. Current symptoms are white spots of varying size all over the body, especially on the tail fin; fish are especially inactive- two currently sit at the bottom (one was on its side, not now), the others float at the top. These fish normally swim or float (due to digestive problems). The otherwise healthiest looking fish has whitish filmy stuff on his tail and dorsal fins. Although the fish that died had noticeably ruffled scales, these fish do not seem to currently. One fish has flaky white stuff on his head.
Looking about the tank, I see some scattered white dust on the driftwood, but I am not sure if this is unusual.
Although the box has been recycled, we know the Paragon treated Dropsy and believe it treated Itch/Ick. I recently used it to successfully cure a cichlid of a secondary fungal(?) infection.
Approximate water values:
pH 6.7
KH 140
GH 200
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
Ammonia .04
Something is wrong with the water. Either your mom is changing out too much or something else. Ammonia should be 0 and there should be some sort of nitrates. No nitrate reading means there is no cycle going on. The fact that you have some ammonia is a good sign however no nitrates is impossiable unless all the water has been changed.
Only 255 WEEKLY no more.
Back to the other problems. Paragon 5??? Paragon does make a gram negaive antibiotic in which case you need to remember to remove all carbon from the filters to treat. Secondly, the white spot could have been ich or a fungus both of which need different meds to treat. Dropsy won't kill the fish over night but not catching ich can. The additional water change treat for ich if you are sure it is ich until cleared. Dropsy isn't a disease in itself but a by product of another disease. Which could have been the onset of ich or the fungus.
Your water quality is not up to par. again no nitrates means no cycle and the ammonia is only being removed by water changes, perhapstoo many.
White film on fins is usually fungus. You have a wide range of issues here. the white dust on the drift wood means nothing in this case and is harmless. Paragon does not treat ich ich is a parasite not a bacterial infection. Fungus needs treated with an antifungual not an antibiotic or anti parasitic. Three things going on. Most fungual infections, unless sever will clear on their own with proper water changes and care.
If your fish are having digestive issues you need to rethink their food. NO floating pellets, only foods high in fiber and protein low in fats and fillers. Also adding fresh veggies like lettuce, spinach, cukes, zucchini, pumpkin beans etc help with digestion here. With goldfish, unfortunately dropsy is a tough diagnosis since a sever swimbladder problem can also mimic dropsy. Anti bacterials won't help simple change in diet will.
How do you check to see if you have kidney stones and what are the ...
Well, the clue that you have kidney stones comes from the excruciating pain. The most common type of stone is a calcium stone, but comes from a long time of calcium build-up. It is just as much or more related to dehydration, which causes the calcium in the urine to become concentrated. You will not get a stone from drinking a gallon of water. Think about it, people take Tums and other calcium supplements, and there is nowhere near the amount of calcium in the water.
Leave a ReplyCulligan ISH-100 Level 2 Inline Shower Filter
By Silky in SoCal (CA)
I purchased this filter after trying EVERYthing to lessen the drying effects of the nastiest water on earth in Riverside County, CA. I moved here from the East Coast where my hair used to gleam with health and tons of shine. I do also rent a Culligan whole house water filter, so I'm not sure if it's a combination of both but my hair has dramatically improved in just one week of using this filter! It is softer, shinier, and bouncier! I am very happy! I also had no leakage problems as other reviewers have suggested. I hand tightened the unit and used the teflon tape as instructed with no issues. I have used the Paragon water filter in NY and it was great until they changed the formula (it didn't work for me at all in SoCal). The Culligan one is amazing!! I have definitely noticed a difference in my hair!! Love it!! Highly recommend! Thanks...
