Our water here is so wierd. I don't know if it's too hard or what, but it smells like sulphur and doesn't rinse soap completely away, which causes dry skin.
Is there such a product as a shower water filter? Attaching a regular sink filter would obviously NOT work.

You can filter the water before it reaches the shower. It may be difficult to reach the pipes to replace the filter. You could install a small door on the side of the house to provide access to an installed line filter.

My condo complex has well water with a water softening system. The water is awful - very soapy. My face broke out with acne and my hair looks terrible. I bought a filter for my shower head that includes blocking rust and chlorine, but I would like a better filter. I picked this one up from Home Depot for about $20. Can anyone recommend a bettter filter and the price range?

First of all, why bother? Do you actually believe the minute amounts of these materials, if any, will be absorbed into your skin?

So, OK, you're fixating on this. Because of the high volume of water being used you will need high capacity filtration. Lots of activated carbon and/or ion exchange. Examine the specs. of whole house water treatment devices. Google for manufacturers/providers of water treatment systems. Think EXPENSIVE. Check out the below site

I live in an apartment complex that DOES have a water softener but I think the PH levels are out of wack because several of the people in the building complain about itchy skin, scalp issues and those of us with blonde hair now have rust/orange colored hair.
When the landlord is confronted he states that the water company has already come out and things are "fine".
I on the other hand tend to disagree ... because my hair is still a rustic orange instead of a beautiful blonde - and my scalp is still flakin' up a storm.

My skin shouldnt feel like it is, my scalp shouldnt be giving me flake issues and for the amount of money I spend on my hair it shouldnt be orange.... PLEASE HELP

Can someone with a similar situation please suggest a Shower Filter that has worked for them - I'd like the name of a brand of Filter - not just a store where I can find one (most of the ones HD, Lowes and what not carries only takes out Chlorine, I need one that takes out Iron as well.

go to walmart and go to bathroom supplies and get the rain fall filter it works great
