As you might have known, there is always a marinade to lobster, crab or fish such as butter. Even sushi is 'cooked' in 'sauce'? OR to kill taste use sauce or beer....
Does your city have an ordinance to store seafood in fresh filtered tank water, even cleaned every 3 days?
i like sea food i think it tastes good
RO water filter and tank update. Its been awhile since I posted.
I have 2 goldfish and I'm wondering if the sound of the water dripping into their tank from the water filter bothers them and if I should turn it of once in a while.
Also I would like to know why every time I change 75% of the water in the tank, I get a bacterial bloom?
No the filter noise wont bother them. Stand beside a small waterfall or rapids in a river, it's noisey, the fish dont care.
As for your bacterial bloom, try doing smaller water changes. more often, 25% at a time.
What may be happening is your tap water has traces of phosphate / nitrate etc When you add this to the tank the extra nutrients encourage a bloom of algae, diatoms or bacteria and the water goes cloudy for a while. Then things settle down, untill the next big water change. Smaller water changes, less cloudiness and it will clear up faster.

i cleaned int inside of it when i was cleaning the tank, so there arent any visible clogs or anything that would block water flow. the filter is plugged into socket that works and it has water in it. it is fairly new, less than a year, so i would hope that it would not need to be replaced this early. any suggestions on things to check?
Depending on what type of filter it is, it could be a couple of different things. If it is similar to the Whisper type of filters, check and make sure the impeller is spinning. I occasionally have to "re-start" my impeller after turning the filter off for other maintenance. Sometimes they will get a little something in there that stops them from turning at first. If that is the case, just remove the tube to expose the impeller, and give it a little spin. If it starts spinning again, just replace the suction tube and it should start drawing water.

I bought a 55 gallon set up from a friend that was moving. It was originally a Salt water tank so it has a salt water filter with square media.
Can this be used for the fresh water tank as well? If not what should I use for a 55 gallon tank?
We are also going to get a gravel vacuum, a heater, and eventually some fish....
It seems to be a "Wet Dry" type of filter
no problem. however, u must cycle the water a little longer to allow for beneficial freshwater bacteria to culture on the media first. give it a month before adding fish. you should be fine.
if i have it falling into the water it creates more bubbles. when it's shooting under water not as much bubbles. witch is better?
its a aqueon power filter. it falls like a waterfall if i have it below the lip. i'm just not sure if thats how it works?
First, you need to read the manual and the installation instructions, as some filters must have the canister and the water nozzle completely emerged in the water. This is so that the filter will function properly and won't put pressure on the propeller, and so it burn out.
If the instructions don't say to have it fully submerged in water, then personally I like to have the nozzle so that the flow skims over the top of your water so that it creates a rippling effect. This also provides the water with extra oxygen, which is always good for your fish, especially if you don't have a air stone. If you don't have any air stones I'd still very highly recommend that you get some, one at the very least, as it will benefit your fish, and especially when they are ill as most fish disease cause respiratory distress.
If you choose to do move the nozzle if you can, don't make it so that the nozzle is completely above the top of the water, have it so that the middle of the nozzle hits the surface of the water, so part of the nozzle is below the water and the other top half is above it. It will create a better air flow, as well as letting your filter function efficiently then if you have it completely above the water creating a waterfall as you suggested.

Water Wonders Fish Tank Review : Blisstree - Family, Health, Home ...
I’ve been using the Tetra Water Wonders 1.5 gallon aquarium for a single Betta for almost a month now. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I paid around $23 for it at Target, but it’s available at other retailers as well.

I’ll cover the annoying stuff first.
Dislikes/Considerations :
Part of the promised goods were missing. The box says the kit comes with water conditioner and fish food. Those two things were missing from mine. I contacted Tetra and they sent the food and water conditioner. However, I was deceived by the photo on the box. I thought I would get a bottle of water conditioner, but it’s merely a paper sample in the shape of a bottle. The tropical flakes that come with this kit are also not ideal for Betta fish. The small size of the tank means that standard gravel cleaners are too big....o. mercatoris - TONMO.com Forums
Right now i have a 25g tank i thing if i provide a couple of hiding spots i can hold 3 o. mercatoris(es) sugsesfully. On the tank i will have a protein skimmer, a carbon filter, an air stone, and a UV filter (all behind a transparent divider so the octopuses can't dismantle them). I will feed them 1 live fiddler crab every day and set the temp on my heater to 75F. Every 2 weeks I’ll change 1/3 of the water (using instant ocean as salt) and test the pH and NH3. I’ll add water stabilization solution and buffer as needed and that’s about it. You will want to check your salinitiy as well as test for (as Dustinh lists) nitrite and nitrate in addition to ammonia. After you cycle the tank for three months, if you detect nit rites , something is wrong and you will need to do very heavy water changes until the situation is corrected (usually occurs when a new tank is not fully cycled but decaying food hidden in the back of the tank or an undiscovered dead animal may also...
