After the RO filtration of water is there any need of UV filtration ? why?

Hi there, I my opinion the biggest sources of bacterial pollution are failing septic systems and pet wastes. In rural areas, you can usually add livestock waste. In some areas, wildlife contributes their own pollution. Each year, health inspectors focus on a handful of watersheds in Kitsap County. The fact that local waters are growing cleaner in the face of expanding development must be testimony to their success. If you want more information about your question visit the website which is given below it will help you.

Has anyone had experience in using UV light to kill E. Coil bacteria in drinking water?

Water test results show our water is contaminated with E. Coli bacteria. I'm considering installing a UV light filtration system, and wonder if anyone has had long term success in killing E.Coli bacteria. Our water source is a mountain stream running through our property it is fenced to keep stock out of the water. But becomes contaminated from pasture runoff. Our other option is chlorine treatment in the water tank. not my preferred option.

UV light is my vote. Bromine is very dangerous, expensive, and is harmful to many types of water pipes, over time causing leaks. Another option i didnt see listed is installing an "ozonanator" to purify your system, but that can only be used if all your plumbing pipes are plastic, specifically, PVC schedule 80. RO or "Reverse osmosis" is not an option for you because it is EXTREMELY expensive to have a whole house RO system installed, they are usually just good for under the sink drinking water etc. Ive had very good luck with UV light filtration, as have many of my customers whose plumbing ive worked on, customers including Armor Swift Eckridge, McDonalds, Pepsi, and Coca Cola, and BNSF railroad. Only done a few UV lights for residential units, but all have had very good results, below is a quotation taken directly from the EPA website and below that is the link you can check for yourself. Best of Luck.

"If my well is contaminated with E. coli, what can I do to protect myself?"

If your well tests positive for E. coli, do not drink the water unless you boil it for at least one minute at a rolling boil, longer if you live at high altitudes. You may also disinfect the well according to procedures recommended by your local health department. Monitor your water periodically after disinfection to make certain that the problem does not recur. If the contamination is a recurring problem, you should investigate the feasibility of drilling a new well or install a point-of-entry disinfection unit, which can use chlorine, ultraviolet light, or ozone.

Do you think the canopy above the earth was a water filtration system?

It seems that after the food we grew more sick. Do you think the canopy was for environmental purposes? Do you think maybe the canopy filtrated the water we drink because of the UV filter the canopy would have gone through?

The environment before and after the flood was dramatically different. Did you ever notice that right up until the flood, it never rained?

Gen 2:5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth...
Gen 2:6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

The canopy above the earth probably served several purposes. There are several websites on creation science that might explain it. See below. Ken Ham has some problems with the canopy theory. Check out AiG and see what you think.

Lifespans became shorter and shorter since the flood. However, God makes it clear that sickness and disease come upon people who do not obey His law. Not that He strikes people down for disobeying Him, but that when He gives us a list of things that He says 'do not eat', it is because He knows that if we do, it will make us sick.

If you read that list closely, you will find that these things are actually a filtering system. Shellfish, shrimp, catfish, etc all filter the waters of the oceans, lakes, and rivers. Swine, birds of prey, and other animals on the do not eat lists are part of the filtering system for the land. Scavengers.

The animals on the list of okay things to eat, are created to be food.

What is the best whole house water filter solution to get as-close-to-distilled water as possible?

I'm looking for a water filtration solution that works as well as water distilliation -- a single unit or multiple units that remove *EVERYTHING* from the water.

I have inquired Polar Bear distillers about whether their systems could be used on a whole house and they told me that they could not -- is this true? Couldn't multiple distillers, or distillers linked to larger storage tanks be used together?

What are some of the products out there and how can these products be installed and/or linked together? Can you use a softener, a Reverse-Osmosis and a UV filter all at once, for instance? Are there systems that do all of this without having to "chain" them together?

Please do not let cost considerations inhibit replies -- I would like to know about systems in all price ranges. Thank you!

I put in a Rayne system to do just this. It can be used with a Reverse Osmosis and UV filter at the same time. They are expensive units, but mine came with a lifetime warranty. Glad it did, too, because my pressure regulator blew the tank and even though it was caused by something outside of the unit, they replaced it for free.

water purification for home in philippines?

Building a home in the Philippines which is powered by solar power, has a 30m deep well, and rainwater collection system.

The water scares me to drink and I'm wondering the best way to purify it.

My first thought is boiling it or at least heating it

But also thinking ozone, activated carbon, sand filtration, UV light, etc, etc.

Water is being kept in a cistern and still working out all the plumbing...

Any ideas would be appreciated

kamusta? have your water sample check by a lab first, then decide on what purification system needed. Who knows you might not need those power consuming apparatus.
If you do need one, i can refer you a water mineral pot (water purifier -gravity type -and making it alkaline for good health)

Kent#39;s Bike Blog: Review: SteriPEN Classic Handheld UV Water Purifier

My friend Mark has a drinking problem. His problem is that he often forgets to drink enough on our various back country adventures. Today, on our latest trip to Rattlesnake Mountain, this wasn't a problem because I appealed to Mark's love of gadgets. "You can use my new SteriPEN and I'll take pictures and write about it for the blog," I told him. As you can see in the photos below, Mark joyfully accepted this assignment. The SteriPEN is not a filter, it's a device that purifies water by using ultra-violet light to disrupt the DNA in the various microbes that might be lurking in the water. If the water is cloudy, you'd want to use a pre-filter to get the large gunk out (I plan on using coffee filters for this), but in the case of a clear running stream like this one, the SteriPEN and a bottle is all you need. The really great thing about the SteriPEN is that it is fast and simple to use. You...
