I'm looking for an undersink water filter system, however, every company I find online or via the yellowpages seem to just sell the system, then its up to you to organise a plumber to install it, and monitor it for a replacement filter etc.

I'm hoping someone might be able to tell me of a company who services the Sydney (city) area and provides full service - Supplies the system and all its parts, installation and is available for service and new filter installation when required.

Any help would be great.. Thanks :)

I am buying a house with two full baths and one half bath. the master bath comes with jacuzzi jet.

The town water is yellowish, with sediment, and rust in the hot summer month.

How much does it cost to get licensed plumber to out in a whole house sediment filter for the water supply ?

You could do it yourself, if you are handy and can sweat pipe. A few guys at work have done the same thing. They made up a system with 2 filters. That way they could transfer the flow to one and when the filter got dirty, they close two valves and open the other two and use the second filter while they change out the first one to get it ready when the second one gets dirty. All it will cost is the 2 filters and 4 ball valves and some 90 deg elbows and a length of pipe. If this is a new house you may have the plastic pipe and that will make the job even easier.

If you get a plumber, I would guess about 3-500 in labor plus parts.

I am looking for installation diagram for a water separating fuel filter for my outboard motor.
It has 2 ins and 2 outs, should I have the fuel line running in and then out to the engine on one side, or on opposite sides? Also, the filter should be between the pump and the engine right?

Is there any Company in Australia who sells water filter units that use silver ? = Is there only one Company, or are there many ? I refer to domestic water filtering units for houses etc , and appreciate that nearly all filters use chlorine after installation.But there is one or more, who dont use chlorine, and they use silver I think= but how many Compaines do this using silver ? Thats my question ?

I really wouldn't use anything that could get silver in *any* amount into my or my family's water supply, or anything that they could ingest.
