If the water f="/PUR-Water-Filters/pur-water-filter/">filter isn't the right one, what type of water should i use?

I have no clue what a whirlpool water filter is bu I have triops and use spring water and they survive no problems! But I know one thing for sure you should not use a filter at all because the babies can get sucked into it.

Depending on the model. If you have a bottom freezer, more than likely it is either on bottom front or bottom back. If you have a top freezer it is probably in the back and if you have a side by side it is in the front. The front will have a small round turnable knob, behind it is the filter. In the back, depending on whether is is an add on or not it will be accessed near the water line. You can go to Whirlpool and find a manual for your particular refrigerator. If it is an aftermarket ice maker it will not be listed, but generally you can find them connected to the back water hose.

I have housing ready to come out ,but can't figure out how to "unplug" water lines.

E-Mail Whirlpool and ask the same question. I did for filter advice they are co-operative about answering ?"S and will give you diagrams

normally its in the fridge part and its on the roof of the fridge it should be a tube like filter and if that's not it look at your book they'll tell ya there real easy to do they just costly
