It rained for 3 days straight, my water got a little tingy looking, I thought it was due to the extensive amount of rain we got recently, but its been 2 days now, could it still be the run off, or should I change my filter?
Nobody knows what kind of filter you have, but I'm going to guess it's a sediment filter, probably with a paper element. They come in different "micron" sizes of filtration. Yes, if you're not happy with the color of your water, and you have a sediment filter, it's time to change it. If you're still not happy, go to a finer micron version. Those ones plug up faster, though. I use two filters - a prefilter, then a finer one. That makes the fine ones last a lot longer.

i live in north florida and have a well can i use a all house water filter to remove the brown
Home Depot or Lowe's make a good filter. It will take out most of the brown stain. You have to refill it with a special salt to soften the water as the iron water is usually hard and tough on laundry suds. If its really bad you need a separate iron filter. The whole set up will run you about 4 to 500 and you need a lot of pipes to install.
But it's worth it, sweet water and no chlorine taste.
Good luck.
PS. don't forget to separate the outside water system for hoses etc, as you don't want to filter that. Run a seperate grey water system that does not run into your septic tank, for shower and washing machine water. This prevents Septic Tank problems. Chlorine kills the tank.

I filled my above ground swimming pool up with well water. The water was fine for a couple of days and then it turned brownish-green. I am trying a clarifier right now. I've checked the filter pump hose and the saltwater system hoses and those seem to be fine. Would it be better to fill the pool up with water that has a filter and a softener? Thanks.
Use the well water. Treated water, or water that has been softened will contain salts that you don't want in your pool since they may mess up your pool chemical composition. Sounds like you got an algae bloom, probably need to run the circulation pump more often.

Our new tenants recently changed the filter, didn't help. The problem tap is in an upstairs master bath. They say this is the only faucet in the whole house with this problem. We lived in the house 4 yrs, never had any problems w/water. It's a sandpoint well. House is in interior Alaska, built in 1999.
I had the same problem and got a whole house filter, but still had some smell. The man came back out and removed the safety tube in the hot water tank, -- rod that goes down the middle of tank--not sure that's what you should do, but it cleared it.
If you're refering to an in-line filter that has a cartridge inside, you don't clean it, you simply replace the filter cartridge complete. Turn off the water supply to the filter housing, release the pressure by depressing the small red button on top, then unscrew the bottom tank. The element should simply pull up out of the tank. If you don't have a replacement handy, take the old one to the hardware or home improvement store you deal with and purchase a new one. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the cartridge and turn the water supply back on.

Potassium Chloride In Salt Substitutes? - Find Answers to this ...
For one ting you cannot live without potassium - search the "sodium - potassium pump" mechanism all cells have. For another, too much of ANYTHING, including water, will kill you. For the third I don't know how much it would take to kill you by ingesting it, but I'll bet it's more than you could choke down [how much sodium chloride can you eat?]. For the fourth thing low sodium diets recommend potassium substitutes so how bad can it be? Potassium is an essential element to proper muscle function including and especially the heart, but as with many things something that is critical to life in smaller quantities can also kill in larger ones (you can overdose on almost any substance including water and it will kill or damage you). Potassium is often an ingredient in lethal inhections-it is what stops the heart from beating, yet without it the heart cannot beat effectively. When a person gets...
