pool water heater question (picture included)?
KE93FA~1

what is this part called?( CIRCLED) i think it has something to do with the water temp and think it acts as a on/off for the heater. in the picture you can see i bypassed the part and it doesnt turn off unless i turn of the toggle switch around the side, which breaks the curcuit. and the part above, im pretty sure lets the computer now when the water is flowing. and might generate a small amount of electricity to run the circuit.

hey " c". i dont got a wiring diagram right now, but i will try to find one and if i cant then i will put one together, to the best of what i can tell from looking at it. it will probally be a picture and whatever. ill try to upload it tommarow. hopefully early. thanks. this little part is the only thing standing between me and a new 1000 dollar water heater. ( its gas BTW)

hopefully you have a wiring diagram to look at.... because i can't see the whole thing i would say its either a temperature, flow or pressure switch... i'm leaning towards a temp. switch

Does Royal Caribbeans ship, The sovereign of the seas have a fresh or salt water pool?
KE93E8~1

I'm going on a cruise in september and want to know what to expect, and if any one has room pictures of the smaller no windows room that'd be great!

Yep, saltwater pools. I was on Majesty, a replica of Sovereign. Most of the rooms are small, but it doesn't really matter. All you do there is sleep and change.

Why do underwater (swimming pool) pictures look blue (or more blue) than looking through goggles?
KE9FF6~1

Maybe it's just me...I'm wondering why when I take a underwater picture it looks deep blue but to me - looking through goggles it looks basically clear with only a hint of blue?

It's not the camera, out of the water everything looks the correct color.

Chlorinated water (also water in general but mroe so with chlorine) naturally absorbs most colors on the color spectrum except blue which is reflected back to your eyes. When you take an underwater picture you are introducing more light into the water (the flash) which is reflected back as blue.

a point source of light is located 5m below the surface of a large swimming pool of water n=1.33. ?
KE97FA~1

Find the area of the largest circle on the pool's surface through which light coming directly from the source can emerge. Draw a picture

Oh, we can be heroes, just for one day « spynotes

On the very last day of the summer, I rescued a frog.

He was a very small frog, green with dark green spots and a pale belly, perched on the edge of the pool’s gutter, his shadow reflecting bluely in the water, doubling his apparent size. As I swam down to the deep end, I saw him, poised to leap in front of the class as we swam to the deep end on the last day of water aerobics. I fished him out on the flat of my palm and placed him gently on the lip of the pool, where he sat surveying us benignly for a few minutes before hopping slowly away.

Nobody squealed or complained about the frog in the pool. They are not the sort. These fifty-, sixty- and seventy-something women have seen a great deal, and seldom fret about small things. I hear about it at every class. “Who are you talking about?” asked one as I swam back from frog rescue mission. “The one where her husband murdered her?” “Oh, that never really happened,” said another, “it was just a rumor.” “No, it wasn’t her anyway. It was the one whose false teeth fell out during the bridge game.” Oh, yes, suddenly everyone knew the one we were talking about. And the frog was long gone.
