My pool water is sooo warm I hate it.Is there a way to make it cooler? I do not use a solar cover because of this. I do have a cover on top of the pool to keep the chemicals in.... It almost feels like hot bathwater..

I am making a solar panel to warm my pool water with black pipe Is it alright to run the water throw it all?

the time or just when the sun is out? Or do I need to put a value on it?

I'd put a valve on it, it might actually get too hot and if you can't cut off the water flow it will be lot a bathtub. Plus you may get a leak or crack and valves would be helpful.

the directions say to mix with warm water and add to skimmer, but doesn't matter how much you stir it doesn't dissolve. what is the point of adding warm water?

The conditioner is made from long chain fatty acids. They are partially soluble in water. Using warm water and mixing will help to slowly dissolve the conditioner

PRETTY FREAKY: Playing with Fire at the Pool Club

The pool is closing. Ah, the pool here in the semi-urban outskirts of Philly. This is not much of a pool, not what I'm used to. Still, it's decent for kids--has a shallow end, a deep end, some diving boards, a playground. My little one finally learned to swim this year, and my big one passed the deep water test and is ready to join the Swim Team. If you go to my pool, and you are from outer space (or a small child), you might think that ALL humans have tattoos, that they bear some cultural significance. You might not notice how ugly these tats are (as I do; I am happily un-tattooed, though not against tattooing from any moral standpoint. It's just that I could never think of what tattoo to choose, back when I even entertained the idea of getting a tattoo at all, and now I really, really don't want one). But I digress. Back to the closing days of the pool. They have been cold days, force-yourself-to-go-to-the-pool-before-the-summer-ends sort of days. We noticed yesterday that warm water...

Practical and Simple Ideas To Follow When Choosing Solar Pool Heaters

A solar pool heater can really cut back your pool heating costs. They’re really efficient at heating your pool and have virtually no operating costs. The primary price of solar pool heaters are fairly competitive with both gas and heat pump pool heaters. Included with many solar pool heaters will be a solar collector, a filter, a pump, and a flow control valve.

Water is pulled thru the pool and then circulates thru the filter and solar collector where it is filtered and heated before being put into the pool again. In very warm climates water can be pumped through the collector at night to chill the pool down. Different types of materials can be employed to make the collectors for a solar pool heater. The right one for you will depend on your climate and how you intend to use it.

You may use an unglazed collector system if you’ll only use your pool when the outside temperature is above the freezing point. These kinds of collectors are often more cost effective than glazed collectors. Those in cold climates may also opt to use them for an indoor pool. Glazed collectors will work best in colder climates. These systems collect solar heat more effectively and will provide adequate heat in almost all climates year round.
