How can I clear up the orange well water in my swimming pool?
Sidewalk

I just bought a small pool (10'x13"). It has a filter and I put in chlorine tablets, but my water is still orange. Please help!

I went to the pool company by me and bought Ferritabs as recommended by them. You put them in and they remove the iron in the water. it takes 2-3 days but DO NOT add any more chlorine until it is clear as it just makes it worse!!

our well water sometimes is orange?
Construction fog

the water from our well will sometimes turn orange, the guy who drilled it for us said that it is a bacteria that feeds on iron in water and that it is harmless. When it does this, there is no odor as there is with high iron content water. He says there must be just enough iron in it for the bacteria to live. We have tried a water filter (whole house, in line, the kind you can get at Lowe's or Walmart) and in just a few hours the filter will be plugged and the pressure next to nothing. We are not using a filter at present as this is A LOT cheaper. The driller told us to put these tablets (chlorine or similar) down the well, recirculate the water for several hours and then run water out the outside hose for another hour. This helps and for awhile the water is nice and clear but eventually it starts to get cloudy again. He said we might have to put a couple tabs down the well every day to keep it clear. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Could the pump be too low in the hole?

Your well man is 100 % correct. depending on how good of water you would like to acheive, there are other options. But they will cost you some money. Many times a softner will clear this up. I would suggest an Autotrol softener, 32000 grain with meter. They last the longest and have little if any trouble as far as service is concerned. In some cases you may want to install a green sand filter or both. There is also a Chlorinator which will add the chemical automatically. My boss has a well and had all three installed and his water is like city water, but better. Because of the high costs, I would take a clean sample of water to have tested and see exactly what you would need for your situation. If you really want to go all out, you can install an IROC system. which will take out the chlorine after treatment.

You can turn this water into GREAT water depending on how much you want to spend. If you have anymore questions, feel free to email me.

We filled our pool with well water and ofcourse, the water is orange brown. we put staintrine in the water.?
Tom taylor trail weed

will this clear the water up and how fast does this stuff work?

Staintrine is a stain remover not a water cleaner, the orange brown colour is sediment floating in the water.

If you don't go swimming it will eventually settle on the bottom or end up in the filter. The pool is usable, it just doesn't look nice.

You're going to have to filter your well water before adding it in future, it isn't a staining problem.

well water - turns showers orange, toilet orange washer orange?
Silhouette of the past

My clothes are starting to get this weird smell, actually my whole body is. Skin, hair. I hate well water.

I am assuming it is the iron in the water.

I have a filter on my shower, still turns tub orange so I am assuming its still touching me too.

I am going to start taking my laundry to a laundry mat. But I hate the way I smell, body & clothes.

What can I do?

The easiest way to get this fixed is to simply get a water softener. Most can help with the removal of iron, although not 100% completely. In addition or on its own you can use an Iron Filter. But they are only useful for removal of ferrous iron and manganese; ferric iron will plug them up. They appear similar to water softeners but contain a bed of natural or synthetic manganese green sand. Manganese dioxide oxidizes iron and manganese and the oxidized particles are then filtered out in the lower part of the bed. Depending on how big a filter you want, they will range from about $400 to $800.

Fashion Island Aerial View

In light of the economy and also the changes occuring in the real estate market and resort environment in Orange County, the Irvine Company is changing up and presenting an evolution of Fashion Island as more a destination spot that goes far beyond shopping unlike their largest competitor. By creating a more “destination” or “resort”-like feel, the Fashion Island experience changes for both the store tenants, the Irvine Company as well as the consumers who often come to shop a bit but hang around to eat, browse, meet with friends and chat.

Aerial view of Fashion Island with main stores

When looked at from another perspective, the Irvine Company is changing the face of Fashion Island due in part to the opening of a Dean & Delucca flagship store as well as the development of the Nordstrom store to launch in Spring 2010. This is the second re-invention of Fashion Island since its’ original launch and it has an amazing location that catches the beauty of the Pacific Ocean along with the cooling ocean breezes in this lush open-air mall.

Pistachi-Oh! Ice Cream with Orange Zest amp; Dark Chocolate - Journal ...

Wow! This is a positively wonderful pistachi-Oh! ice cream that is made with a raw cashew and young coconut cream and lightly flavored with vanilla and orange zest. This healthy vegan raw gourmet ice cream has chopped up pistachios and raw dark chocolate pieces in it.

I made a batch of thin chocolate leaves and mixed most of them into the ice cream for special chocolate leaf chunks in the green pistachio ice cream, saving a few leaves to top off individual servings with. I also saved some of the chocolate to make tart shells with to serve the ice cream atop for a decadent luscious perfect pistachio ice cream dessert.

I started planning to make a simple basic coconut ice cream but got inspired by the tasty green pistachios I brought home from the store earlier today. Inspiration tastes great!
