Does anyone know of any plans to build a small trailer mounted water drill rig for sinking bores to about 100m??

I am in the drilling business and I can't imagine that a small drill rig could drill that deep. I think it would take more machine than you seem to be thinking about. Sorry.

Atalascopco RD10, RD20and T4WDH, water drilling rigs use air rotary drilling. Who do you add mud rotary capability to these units?

Air drilling technique uses air and water and foam. Mud drilling is a different technique which uses water or oil soluble mud for pressure control. It is used for drilling oil or gas wells. You cannot mix the two at the same time. You can have the two systems mounted on the same rig however.

I didn't have any experience when I drilled my own well. I have a VTX620 from Hydratek Manufacturing. I paid almost 5,000 for their hydraulic rig. It did the job just fine. Contractors want you to think that only they can do it. There are things you have to understand but its not rocket science! I went down 340ft. It took me 3 days but I took me time and didn't rush things. I also read the instructions and talked with the company that sold me the unit.

My buddy has bought a water well drilling rig and is drilling his first well for a friend for free for the experience. They have bought a head to go through sandstone, but the going is very slow. It took all day for them to get 60 feet deep. They are very green but have worked around well rigs for sometime, but dont really have any experiance doing it themselves. Any obvious or probable tip that they may be doing wrong would be greatly appriciated. The well will be a 5 inch well. I know they had the engine running at 4 grand today. After some discussion they are now planning on trying it at around 1500. other than that I dont have much more info.

The water company is drilling a well behind my house and making tons of noise, who can I complain to?
Foraje puturi apa 0720858997: sapa de foraj cu 3 lame / water well drilling, 3 blades bit

When I bought the home and had it built 3 years ago the builder said there was a well behind the house but the water was contaminated and the city I live in get its water from canals. Last year they starting drilling 24/7 making tons of noise and my wife and I had to sleep with earplugs it was so bad. I called the city they said to call the water company they said it is a good well and a source of water for the city and there was nothing I could do. Ive even called the police for noise complaints but to no avail. the workers stopped for 6 months and we thought it was finally over and now there back working in this well installing pumps and making noise from 7am to 7pm every day and we get no peace and quiet. Is there an attorney or somebody out there the knows what I can do, this well is literally 40 to 50 feet from my house and these diesel rigs shake my house and the exhaust fumes prevent me from even going outside. Can I fight this and win? I dont want to move, am I just screwed?

you're screwed. most cities have a noise ordinance, but that only goes into effect after 9 pm or later. so i would suggest you just bide your time and wait til they are done. besides. the work they're doing may increase your property value!!

  • About Water Well Drilling Equipment | 1st4 (for) Consultancy

Water well drilling equipment can mean a lot of things. Different types of wells are made with shovels, or drilled with rotary drills. Let’s take a look at some of them.

A dug well is made by digging a hole with a shovel. These types of wells go at least as far back as biblical times. Jacob’s well was the place Jesus met a woman after his resurrection. Roofed farm wells are well known to most people. They also include a crank to draw up the bucket.

Water well drilling equipment in this case is a simple hand shovel. This style of well includes stone lined walls.  The stone actually makes the well safer in case someone falls into it.

When the water well drilling equipment is a well point, a screen and a tripod, it results in a driven well. The point is hammered into the ground. Pipe sections are added as needed. Eventually this will reach groundwater. The final touch is a pump used to bring up the water.

Drilling A Water Well « Eco 1st Technology Group

All of DeepRock’s commercial rigs can be used for geothermal work, even our smallest model, the DR20. Most commercial customers use the DR100, DR120,and DR150 for this work. The Otto loading arm has been especially popular with these drillers because one man can operate the rig while a helper goes about the work of installing the loop pipes.

Our rigs are rated for different depths and conditions. The one in this video, the DR150, can drill to 600 feet routinely. If it is equipped with a down-the-hole hammer system, it can drill through the hardest rock. Speeds in rock are typically one-half to two feet per minute. Our smallest rigs, such as the DR20, can drill to 200 feet. Even the small rigs can use down-the-hole hammers, but they are more practical on the larger machines.

Maintenance on a DeepRock drill rig is like that of any heavy duty outdoor construction equipment. There are several filters that need replacing on a regular basis and grease points that need a daily shot of grease. The drillhead has a rotary seal system that typically needs replacing every few months (six bolts, ten minute job). The mud pumps will require normal replacement of wear parts . With routine cleaning and adjustment, the rest of the machine should go years between parts replacement.
