Im building a windmill operated water well for a science project. Its basically a mini windmill that should power a 500g weight to move up, then down after it is fully up, at least 10 times, efficiently. Any ideas/sites to show me how to do this?

Ankara has two water basins; Gerede and Kızılırmak. Gerede's water is clean and its transportation to Ankara is economically feasible. Kızılırmak's water is polluted and can be brought at a high cost.
There is heavy metal contamination, as well as unknown organic compounds, There is no reason to use that water at this time, eventually Kızılırmak's water will have to be used, but water purification technology is not at the point today where it can be done safely and economically.

I need to know, well not know but how i sould test it.I was thinking measure 6 cups of water and put them in seperate cups. Add1 ounce of sugar to 3 and the other three will be the control. The sugar is the variable and the time it takes for the water to evaporate. How should i measure the results? Would you give me some examples or info on this project. Links would be greatly appreciated. Something that i should observe. Thanks. Note: I will shoose best answer for the one with most links and info.
Actually the water will be the variable because it will evaporate by reacting with the air above it, while the sugar will be inside the water and unable to react with the air until most of the water is almost gone.
Common sense states that Humidity of the air above the water will control the rate of evaporation of the water. if the Humidity is 100% then it becomes very difficult for evaporation to occur.
If the Humidity is 6% then evaporation is much easier.
the sugar will have almost no effect unless you make it a super saturated solution wich then makes the water more viscous, and more viscous water tends to evap much slower than non viscous water.
