Water softener with whole house water filter question?
R.O.Tack water technology reverse osmosis plant pakistan on Vimeo by rotack

If I buy a water softener that has a built in whole house water filter, do I need to remove the filter on my water dispenser on my refridgerator so that my water isn't 'too' filtered? Someone told me that and I find that hard to believe, so I'm coming to the experts for advice. Thanks!

We have well water and were looking into getting the Waterboss 700; there are 2 people in my household.

No, you can't have too much filtration the way you're doing it. The filter in the fridge will just last longer.

Are water that comes out of a whole house water filtration system safe to water plants with?
Reverse Osmosis,Plant ,Water Treatment, System, for boiler water by.rotack water on Vimeo by rotack

There's a lot of water that comes out of the whole house water filtration system when it cleans itself. Mine is made by Kinetico and it's comes with 2 filter tanks and 1 softener tank. Can I water plants with that water? It is safe for lawn and other plant life? I hate to see all that water go to waste.

Thanks

there is no salt in soft water, there are sodium ions. salt is sodium chloride. i water my yard and flowers with soft water and have no problems. water softeners remove much of the chlorine from the water. i would be more concerned with the effect of spraying them with heavily chlorinated water.

How do I insulate a whole house water filter?
complete, mineral, water, plant, 5,000 gpd obo mineral water

I need to insulate a whole house water filter. I am going to be taking the water filter outdoors. How can i protect the water filter fron weather conditions? How do i insulate a while house water filter?

I would build a box for it and insulate the pipes with either heat tape or some good insulation and insulate the box with lots of fiberglass.
You'd have to make it so no water gets in there.
Maybe use some old roofing on top to match the house.

What is the best whole house water filter solution to get as-close-to-distilled water as possible?
AQUAQUEEN® Mineral Water by R.O.Tack Water Technology

I'm looking for a water filtration solution that works as well as water distilliation -- a single unit or multiple units that remove *EVERYTHING* from the water.

I have inquired Polar Bear distillers about whether their systems could be used on a whole house and they told me that they could not -- is this true? Couldn't multiple distillers, or distillers linked to larger storage tanks be used together?

What are some of the products out there and how can these products be installed and/or linked together? Can you use a softener, a Reverse-Osmosis and a UV filter all at once, for instance? Are there systems that do all of this without having to "chain" them together?

Please do not let cost considerations inhibit replies -- I would like to know about systems in all price ranges. Thank you!

I put in a Rayne system to do just this. It can be used with a Reverse Osmosis and UV filter at the same time. They are expensive units, but mine came with a lifetime warranty. Glad it did, too, because my pressure regulator blew the tank and even though it was caused by something outside of the unit, they replaced it for free.

What is the best whole house water filter available?

What is the best whole house water filter available? I am considering rainsoft, culligan and the like but would like to know what others are using successfully.

Evaluate your specific water filtration needs. Are you interested in only a drinking water filter or do you need a shower filter, as well.
If you are interested in filtering all the water of the house, remember that there is no such thing as a whole house filter.Decide on a few brands of water filters that match your budget and then conduct some more in-depth research. Look into their certification, find out what contaminants they remove, and determine what percentage of contaminant removal they guarantee.

  • Buy Cheap

  • Why You Need A Whole House Water System

Whole house water treatment equipment can be expensive. Some of the products are over-priced for no good reason. I don't mind paying extra for higher quality. But, I don't like to get ripped off.

There is one company that claims to imbue your supply with health-giving qualities. They claim to accomplish this by including rare Japanese stones that are supposed to have antibacterial and anti fungal properties

While some minerals do have antibacterial and anti fungal properties, there is no scientific data to suggest that the Japanese stones contain those minerals. In addition, the dissolved minerals that are naturally found in freshwater have been absorbed over the course of many years.

Now as great as all this would sound if it worked it would be a good way to help purify your water supply. However, the best thing for you to do since there really isn't a way that these rocks can contain these minerals is to forget about them and the $6,000 cost to get the system in...

9 Benefits Of A Whole House Water Filter

Boy, did I learn a valuable lesson when I learnt a whole house water filter can offer so much more than healthier drinking! The benefits can improve much more than meets the eye, since everything is treated and filtered at the source before coming into the house. Pouring yourself a fresh glass is only the beginning; consider these benefits:

    1. The first and obvious benefit of a whole house water filter is pure, healthy water from every location in the house, such as the sinks, showers, ice, washing machine, dishwashers, and even the air you breathe.

    2. A filter can remove hundreds of chemicals and other substances from what you drink, including lead, pesticides, and runoff. Treating your home at its source expands this benefit to your ice and dishes as well.

    3. Chlorine is removed, making way for healthier skin, hair, and air quality when showering. When you shower, most of the chlorine vaporizes before it even hits your skin, therefore getting into your air circulation. Flushing the toilet can also discharge these substances into the air.
